1. Product Overview

The NL slurry pump is a vertical single-stage single-suction centrifugal pump. It features a compact structure, small footprint and flexible installation, supporting both vertical and inclined working modes. The pump is mainly composed of a volute, pump casing, pump base, support tube, impeller, pump shaft, motor base and vertical motor. With a sturdy and integrated structure, it is easy to disassemble and maintains stable operation under complex slurry conditions.

Key components including the volute, pump base, motor base and impeller nut are made of cast iron, providing stable texture, excellent scouring resistance, corrosion resistance and convenient processing performance. The pump adopts a semi-open three-blade impeller made of malleable cast iron, featuring high strength, strong wear resistance, superior particle passing capacity, anti-clogging performance and high conveying efficiency. The pump shaft is manufactured from high-quality cold-drawn carbon steel round bar, achieving lightweight design, high structural strength and non-deformation performance. Four skeleton oil seals and wear-resistant shaft sleeves are installed inside the pump base to effectively protect the pump shaft, reduce abrasion and greatly extend the service life of the whole machine.

Adopting a submerged self-priming structure, the pump can work stably as long as the volute is immersed in the medium, requiring no water diversion before startup for quick and reliable priming. Viewed from the motor tail end, the pump runs clockwise in rated operation. Multiple overall length specifications are available to adapt to different on-site working conditions flexibly.

Sturdy and Durable Structure: The cast iron pump body paired with a high-strength malleable iron impeller delivers excellent resistance to sand scouring and corrosion, suitable for long-term operation in harsh slurry environments.

Excellent Anti-clogging Performance: The semi-open three-blade impeller forms a wide flow channel, enabling smooth delivery of slurry, quicksand, thick turbid liquid and sewage with fine impurities without jamming or blockage.

Flexible Installation & Operation: No fixed foundation is required. It supports vertical or inclined installation, as well as fixed placement and floating mobile operation on water with strong site adaptability.

Fast & Efficient Startup: The submerged working design eliminates the need for pre-filling water. The pump can start pumping immediately, realizing simple and efficient operation.

Low Maintenance Cost: Simple structural design with universal accessories and complete sealing protection ensures stable long-term operation with easy daily maintenance.

3. Application Scope

The NL slurry pump is widely applicable for conveying slurry, quicksand, thick turbid liquid, sewage with suspended solids and mud-containing fluid. It serves multiple industries including mining, mineral processing, construction, papermaking, printing and dyeing, environmental protection, graphite, mica, gold processing, ceramics, petroleum refining, chemical industry, brewing, food processing, chemical fertilizer and coking industry for sewage drainage, slurry extraction and thick medium transportation.

In addition, it is suitable for drainage of urban underground projects and civil air defense projects, pond desilting, fish pond water changing and oxygenation. Matched with high-pressure water pumps and water guns, it can form a hydraulic earthwork unit for land leveling, river dredging, pond excavation and other small water conservancy earthwork projects, realizing multi-functional and high-practical operation.

4. Operation Instructions and Maintenance Specifications

Electrical Safety Requirements: The pump must adopt a three-phase four-wire power supply with reliable grounding protection. A matched fuse and switch must be equipped on the circuit to prevent motor burnout caused by impeller jamming and overload.

Installation and Startup Requirements: No foundation pouring is needed. Firmly place, incline and fix the pump or fasten it with ropes before operation. Check the rotation direction strictly after startup; reverse rotation is prohibited for more than one minute.

Anti-clogging Protection Measures: When conveying slurry mixed with weeds and sundries, remove large impurities in advance or install a filter basket to prevent foreign matter from entering the pump chamber and causing impeller damage or jamming.

Daily Operation Specifications: After pumping slurry and thick turbid media, run the pump with clean water for a short time to flush the pump body and pipeline and avoid sediment blockage. Install a motor shield for outdoor operation to prevent rainwater intrusion. For river and pond bottom desilting, adopt tripod suspension or floating carrier mobile operation. In earthwork construction, the diameter of soil blocks crushed by high-pressure water shall not exceed one-third of the pump inlet to avoid blockage.

Speed and Load Specifications: The rated speed is the maximum working speed; over-speed operation is strictly prohibited. Reduced-speed operation is allowed but will decrease working efficiency naturally. The load will drop when pumping thick mud, high-lift and long-distance slurry. It is forbidden to modify the pump structure forcibly to increase load.

Regular Maintenance and Storage: Conduct comprehensive maintenance every 1,250 working hours, including checking bearings and sealing conditions, cleaning internal components, replacing lubricating grease, and renewing oil seals and shaft sleeves if necessary. For long-term shutdown, disassemble the volute, dry all parts, coat lubricating oil on moving joint surfaces, and store the pump in a dry and ventilated place.
