Structure and Function
The dismantling ring of the slurry pump is usually composed of two semicircular structures. On the outside of the semicircular surface, there are circular grooves engraved, which are used to clamp the retaining ring, so that the two semicircles can be connected together to form a complete dismantling ring. This design not only facilitates disassembly and installation but also prevents the dismantling ring from rusting to a certain extent, thus ensuring the normal operation of the slurry pump.
The function of the dismantling ring
The main function of dismantling the ring is to adjust the clearance between the front guard plate and the impeller of the slurry pump. The size of this clearance directly affects the efficiency of the slurry pump. If the clearance is too large, it will lead to an increase in the volumetric loss of the slurry pump, a decrease in flow rate and head, thus reducing the efficiency of the pump. At the same time, a large clearance will also affect the shaft seal components, which may cause an increase in pressure on the back of the impeller, failure of the packing seal, leakage of slurry, and shorten the service life of the shaft seal components.
