5. Installation, Operation and Maintenance Guidelines

Transportation and Placement: Never lift or suspend the pump by its cable; use the lifting ring or handle with a chain. Do not place the pump at sewage outlets or soft silt ground to avoid subsidence caused by vibration. For low-temperature idle periods, lift and clean the pump in time to prevent freezing damage. Avoid excessively reducing pipe diameter for long-distance transportation, which may cause blockage and reduce efficiency.

Electrical and Installation Standards: Before startup, test the motor insulation resistance, which must be higher than 2MΩ. Ensure the power supply meets 380V, 50Hz standard with stable voltage. Thickened cables and sealed joints are required for long-distance power transmission. The grounding wire must be firmly connected and slightly longer than other wires, matched with standard fuses and leakage protection devices. Check the rotation direction by jogging after installation; reverse rotation can be corrected by swapping any two of the three-phase wires. Keep cables away from the pump inlet to avoid water intake blockage.

Safety Operation Rules: Do not move the pump or touch surrounding water during operation to prevent electric shock. Avoid long-term idle immersion in water. It is recommended to run the pump for at least 4 hours weekly for inspection and moisture prevention, and store it in a dry place if out of service for a long time.

Daily Maintenance: Regularly flush the pump with clean water to remove sediment and ensure heat dissipation. Maintain the 0.3~0.5mm gap between the impeller and cutting structure and adjust the cover plate if worn. Replace 10#-30# lubricating oil and inspect mechanical seals every six months under normal conditions with shorter cycles for harsh environments. Clean the oil chamber, refill 70%-80% new oil and replace O-rings. If the oil emulsifies with water, inspect and replace seals and conduct air tightness tests. Do not disassemble the pump privately in case of faults; contact professional after-sales service for repair.
