Common transmission modes of slurry pumps include:
Direct transmission: the slurry pump and the motor are connected and driven through a coupling. The shafts of the slurry pump and the motor are on the same central axis, and there is no other transmission link in between. There are roughly three common types of couplings: claw coupling, pin coupling and diaphragm coupling. Direct transmission is reliable and has a low failure rate. The specific coupling to be used should be determined according to the type of slurry pump and the power of the motor.
Belt transmission: the slurry pump and the motor are connected and driven through a pulley and a belt. The belt plays the role of power transmission and has a certain efficiency loss. Compared with direct transmission, belt transmission is easy to change the working parameters of the slurry pump and can easily achieve the working parameters required by the slurry pump. According to the change of the relative position of the motor and the slurry pump, belt transmission usually has four layout methods:
CR/CRZ transmission: the slurry pump and the motor are on the same horizontal plane. R means right, which means "right". From the inlet direction of the pump, the motor is on the right side of the pump, which is CR transmission. Usually we will also provide a common base for the pump and the motor to ensure a stable and reliable installation. This CR transmission with a common base is also called: CRZ transmission. Compared with large slurry pumps, their weight and volume are relatively large, so we no longer provide a common base.
CL/CLZ transmission: Corresponding to CR transmission, L means "left". From the inlet direction of the pump, the motor is on the left side of the pump. This arrangement is called CL transmission. Usually we will also provide a common base for the pump and the motor to ensure a stable and reliable installation. This CL transmission with a common base is also called: CLZ transmission.
ZV transmission: ZV transmission is also called tail frame belt transmission. The motor is fixed on the frame at the tail of the slurry pump, that is, the motor and the slurry pump have a common base, and the belt is located between the pump and the motor. The belt transmission direction of ZV transmission is up and down. By raising the base of the motor, the motor position can be raised. It can be applied to working conditions with water at the work site to prevent water from entering the motor.
CV transmission: The belt transmission direction of CV transmission is also up and down. The difference from ZV transmission is that the CV transmission motor and slurry pump have no base. The motor is installed above the bearing assembly of the pump, and a small motor seat is supported by bolts to install the motor. The installation of the slurry pump and motor of this transmission method is relatively compact, which effectively saves space and prevents water from entering the motor. It is an economical installation method and is suitable for motors with lower power.
Gear reducer transmission: This is a transmission method that changes the speed and torque through a gear reducer. It is suitable for occasions that require a large torque output, and can adapt to different working conditions by changing the gear ratio.
Hydraulic coupling transmission: The hydraulic coupling is a device that uses liquid to transmit power. It can smoothly transmit torque and can isolate vibration and impact to a certain extent. This transmission method is suitable for occasions that require flexible connection and protect the motor from overload damage.
Variable frequency drive device: The variable frequency drive device can adjust the speed of the motor as needed, thereby changing the flow and head of the slurry pump. This transmission method is suitable for occasions that require precise control of flow and head, such as automatic control systems.
Thyristor speed regulation: Thyristor speed regulation is a method of adjusting the motor speed by changing the frequency and amplitude of the input voltage. It has the advantages of fast response and high adjustment accuracy, and is suitable for occasions where frequent adjustment of flow and head is required.
The above are several common transmission methods for slurry pumps. Different transmission methods have different characteristics and applicable scopes. When choosing a transmission method, it is necessary to make a decision based on specific working conditions and requirements.
