Technical evaluation and scheme consultation for slurry pump selection

Clarify the core operating condition parameters (which are the basis for selection)

The following data must be collected as accurately as possible:

Media characteristics (most critical):

Solid materials: types (quartz sand, tailings, coal gangue, ash, etc.), particle size distribution (maximum particle size, d50 median particle size), particle shape (sharp, round), Mohs hardness.

Slurry characteristics: weight concentration (Cw%) or volume concentration (Cv%), slurry density (density), pH value (acidity), temperature.

Liquid characteristics: mainly the characteristics of water, such as the presence or absence of corrosive chemical components.

System process parameters:

Flow rate (Q): The unit is usually m ³/h or L/s. It should be clarified that it is normal traffic and maximum and minimum traffic.

Head (H): Unit meter (m). The total head loss that the pump needs to overcome includes: net head (lift height)+pipeline along and local friction losses+outlet pressure requirements. It is necessary to conduct detailed hydraulic calculations for pipelines, as underestimating is a common error.

Work system: continuous operation or intermittent operation? Daily operating hours.

Installation environmental conditions:

Installation method: horizontal or vertical (underwater)? Is it installed on land or on board?

Import conditions: The effective cavitation head (NPSHa) must be calculated or confirmed. Is it positive pressure injection (liquid level above pump center, recommended) or suction operation (liquid level below pump center)?

Altitude and ambient temperature.
