What are the common transmission modes of slurry pumps?
1. Direct drive:
Direct drive (DC drive) means that the slurry pump and the motor are connected and driven through a coupling. The shafts of the slurry pump and the motor are on the same central axis, and there is no other transmission link in the middle. There are roughly three common types of couplings: claw coupling, pin coupling and diaphragm coupling. Direct drive is reliable and has a low failure rate. The specific coupling to be used should be determined according to the type of slurry pump and the power of the motor.
2. Belt drive:
Belt drive means that the slurry pump and the motor are connected and driven through a pulley and a belt. The belt plays the role of power transmission and has a certain efficiency loss. Compared with direct drive, belt drive can easily change the working parameters of the slurry pump and can easily achieve the working parameters required by the slurry pump.
